Overview
The RAK4260 Breakout Board is specifically designed to provide easy access to the module's pins, simplifying development and testing. The breakout board used has an Xbee form factor and its main purpose is to transfer the pinout of the RAK4260 punch module to 2.54mm connectors. This makes it easier for the developer to debug their solution.
The core of the module is the RAK4260, a module that uses the ATSAMR34J18B SIP. This high level of integration enables excellent performance: 860nA in sleep mode and a LoRa® transmission power of up to 20dBm.
A notable addition to this breakout module is the ATECC608A cryptography coprocessor with secure hardware-based key storage. This sets this module apart from the RAK4200 and RAK4600 modules by adding another layer of security to future-proof your platform.
The module is compatible with the LoRaWAN® 1.0.2 protocols. It also supports Lora® point to point communication.
The module's low-power, long-range LoRa® communication capabilities make it suitable for a variety of applications in the IoT field, such as: B. Home automation, sensor networks, building automation, personal area networks applications (health/fitness sensors and monitors, etc.).
