Overview
The RAK4270 Breakout Board is a simple circuit board specifically designed to facilitate external connection of the RAK4270 pins. The primary purpose is to access the punch module pins via two (2) rows of 2.54mm headers. It is convenient for users to debug the RAK4270 module.
The RAK4270 LoRa module contains an STM32L071 MCU and an SX1262 LoRa chip that supports eight (8) spreading factors (SF5 ~ SF12) and a signal bandwidth that can be adjusted between 7.8 kHz and 500 kHz. It has an ultra-low power consumption of 1.5uA in sleep mode, but can reach a maximum output power of 22 dBm in transmit mode. As a receiver, it can reach a sensitivity of -138 dBm.
The module complies with the LoRaWAN 1.0.2 protocol and can therefore be used to implement LoRa networks or Lora point-to-point communication. The module is suitable for various applications that require long-range and low-power data acquisition, such as: Such as smart meters, supply chain and logistics tracking, sensors in agriculture, smart cities, etc.
This module is intended to be controlled by an external controller via its UART interface by sending a series of AT commands. These AT commands not only control the state of the module, but also set the LoRaWan communication parameters and payloads.
