Leuchtmittel – Incandescent Lamps

Classical incandescent lamps produce light by heating a tungsten filament to approx. 2,500 °C – warm white light (2,400–2,700 K), perfect colour rendering (CRI 100) and fully dimmable. Since standard incandescent lamps (>25 W) are no longer marketable in the EU since 2012, the range focuses on specialist lamps (oven, fridge, sewing machine, signal lamps), decorative lamps (globe, candle, drop, vintage filament) and low-voltage incandescent lamps for vehicle and special applications.

Specialist lamps: Oven lamps (heat-resistant to 300 °C, E14/G9), fridge lamps (T-shape, E14, 15–40 W), machine lamps (vibration-resistant, E14/BA15d), indicator lamps (orientation lighting, very low power). Decorative lamps: Vintage filament lamps in globe, Edison and pear shapes with visible filament – for hospitality and designer lighting. Also available as LED filament version with identical appearance at 90 % lower consumption.

Applications: domestic and industrial appliances (specialist lamps), decorative lighting (filament lamps), vehicle interior lighting (low-voltage types), signal technology (indicator lamps). For general lighting applications we recommend LED lamps as a more efficient and longer-lasting alternative.

Incandescent Lamps – FAQ

Which incandescent lamps are still permitted?

Since September 2012 standard incandescent lamps ≥ 25 W may no longer be placed on the EU market. Permitted: specialist lamps (oven, fridge, machine), vehicle lamps, decorative lamps and lamps ≤ 25 W.

Are there LED alternatives that look like vintage filament lamps?

Yes – LED filament lamps look identical (visible filament), emit warm white light (2,200–2,700 K) and consume 80–90 % less power. Usually also dimmable. Available in E27, E14, globe and Edison shapes.
