Reflector Lamps (Incandescent)Reflector lamps (type R) have a parabolically mirrored bulb that directs light in a focused beam forward. They are used as recessed lights, spotlights and display case lighting in commercial applications. Common shapes: R50 (E14, 25–40 W, narrow beam angle ~30°), R63 (E27, 40–60 W, ~45°), R80 (E27, 60–100 W, ~60°). Available as spot (narrow) or flood (wide) depending on application. Most reflector incandescent lamps are regulated in the EU by Directive 2005/32/EC and are being replaced by halogen or LED equivalents. LED retrofit reflectors of the same shape offer identical light characteristics with 80–90% energy savings. Specify beam angle and colour temperature when ordering.
