Elsner Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1990 by Jutta Elsner and is headquartered in Ostelsheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. All products are developed and manufactured entirely at the German site – from concept to series production. The focus is on intelligent building automation: KNX sensors, weather stations, room climate controllers and actuators for residential and commercial buildings. The product range comprises more than 200 items for professional building control. All devices are KNX-certified and integrate seamlessly into existing bus installations. Elsner additionally supports RS485, Modbus and EnOcean – for maximum flexibility in heterogeneous system environments. Electrical contractors, system integrators and facility managers appreciate the short response times, high vertical integration and the practical technical documentation provided by the Elsner Academy. Which bus protocols does Elsner support?
Elsner Elektronik focuses on KNX (TP and IP) as the primary protocol. RS485, Modbus RTU/TCP and EnOcean are additionally supported – depending on the product line. Devices are KNX-certified and use standardised ETS applications.

Can Elsner products be integrated into existing KNX installations?
Yes – all KNX devices from Elsner are parameterised via ETS and can be combined with devices from other KNX manufacturers. The open standard architecture enables incremental expansions without changing the system.
