Axis 02813-001 IP Audio Horn Speaker C1310-E MK II content_copy

The AXIS C1310-E Mk II Network Horn Speaker is a network speaker from the manufacturer Axis, specifically designed for outdoor use under various climatic conditions. The device serves acoustic communication in security and surveillance systems, such as deterring unwanted activities, announcing emergency instructions, or broadcasting general voice messages. Integration into existing network infrastructures is achieved via standardized network protocols, enabling flexible and scalable integration into systems such as network video surveillance, access control, analytics solutions, and VoIP applications. Support for SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) ensures compatibility with VoIP systems.

Applications

The speaker is designed for outdoor use, where a robust and weather-resistant design is required. It is suitable for industrial facilities, parking lots, transportation hubs, warehouses, or public institutions where acoustic signaling over long distances is necessary. The ability to pre-record voice messages or transmit them on-demand by security personnel makes it a flexible tool for surveillance and communication.

Functions and Features in Detail

The device features an integrated memory to store pre-set voice messages, enabling quick and automated playback during specific events. Additionally, the device can be used for two-way communication via an integrated microphone, allowing direct interaction with people on-site. Digital signal processing (DSP) ensures clear and intelligible sound reproduction, even in noisy environments. The integrated Audio Management Software supports user, content, zone, and schedule management, simplifying system control and configuration.

Technology Explained Simply

Connection to the network is established via standardized protocols, enabling easy integration into existing networks. Remote monitoring of system status and integrity testing via remote access allow continuous verification of the device’s functionality. The two general-purpose input/output (GPIO) ports enable connection to external sensors or actuators, for example, to trigger an acoustic warning during specific events.

The integrated Audio Management Software enables centralized control of multiple speakers, making content, user, and schedule management more efficient. Support for open standards ensures high compatibility with various systems and platforms.

Compatibility and Accessories

The AXIS C1310-E Mk II can be combined with various accessory components that support installation and operation. These include PoE midspans such as the T8120 (15 W) or TU8006 (60 W), which enable power supply over longer cable runs. Network switches such as the T8516 (16-port) or T8524 (24-port) provide the necessary network connectivity. Mounting accessories such as the T94R01B Corner Mount or T94P01B Corner Mount 4er Pack facilitate securing the speaker to walls or other structures. Cable entry plates and PoE extenders such as the T8129 or TU8010 support cabling and system expansion.

Installation and Mounting

Installation is performed via PoE, enabling power supply through the network cable. This reduces the number of required cables and simplifies mounting. Fixing is done using appropriate mounting accessories, selected according to the installation location. Network connection is made via standardized network ports, allowing easy integration into existing infrastructures.

Operational Advantages

Operation of the AXIS C1310-E Mk II is particularly simple and flexible due to PoE support and open standards. Remote monitoring and the ability to perform integrity tests via remote access increase system reliability. Two-way communication enables direct interaction, while the integrated software centralizes content and user management. The system’s scalability allows expansion with additional speakers or functions without requiring fundamental changes to the existing infrastructure. The use of DSP ensures clear sound quality, even in noisy environments.
