What does NDAA compliance mean for VIVOTEK cameras? The US National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 889 prohibits the use of video surveillance components from certain Chinese manufacturers (Huawei, Hikvision, Dahua and others) in US federal agencies. VIVOTEK cameras do not contain components from these manufacturers and are therefore NDAA-compliant – an increasingly important criterion for European public authorities and security-critical infrastructure projects.

Are VIVOTEK cameras compatible with Milestone and Genetec VMS? Yes: VIVOTEK cameras support ONVIF Profile S/G/T and are officially listed in the compatibility catalogues of leading VMS platforms – including Milestone XProtect, Genetec Security Center, Bosch BVMS and Hanwha Wave.
