The inductive proximity switch IFL 10-180-01 from Schmersal is a compact and reliable sensor designed for the contactless detection of metallic objects. With a nominal sensing distance of 10 mm and a robust plastic housing in cylindrical shape with M18 thread, it is ideal for use in industrial applications.

The proximity switch features a two-wire switching element with a normally closed contact (NC) and an integrated status indicator via a yellow LED, which signals the operational status. The electrical connection is made via a fixed 2-meter cable (H03VV-F) with a conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm². The cable jacket is made of PVC, making it particularly resistant to mechanical impact.

With a rated operating voltage of 15 to 250 VAC and a maximum switching frequency of 10 Hz, the proximity switch is versatile. It is designed for AC voltage operation and includes built-in induction protection. The sensor is protected against dust and water, meeting the IP67 protection rating, which ensures reliable operation in challenging environments.

Due to its robust design and mechanical shock resistance of 30 g / 11 ms as well as vibration resistance of 10 to 55 Hz, the IFL 10-180-01 is highly durable. The sensor can be mounted using either nuts or an optionally available clamp.
