Schmersal – monitoring guard doors safelySchmersal from Wuppertal develops and manufactures switching devices and systems for safety, automation and elevator technology. We list AZ series safety switches with separate actuator, AZM series solenoid interlocks with spring or magnetic locking, BNS non-contact safety sensors with actuators, actuators for sliding and hinged doors, magnetic switches, mechanical position switches with roller lever and ball detent, inductive proximity switches, command and signalling devices, safety relays and connectors. Door type, required safety level and whether the door only needs monitoring or must be locked until standstill decide the choice. The Schmersal type designation in the title describes contacts, actuator and connection. |

Frequently asked questions
Safety switch or interlock?A safety switch reports whether the door is closed. An interlock additionally keeps the door locked until hazardous movements have stopped.
Which actuator fits?The actuator belongs to the switch series and depends on door type and approach direction. With the switch designation we name matching actuators.
Are Schmersal items available from Lieske Elektronik?We carry 1.359 Schmersal items. Availability is shown on every item; for larger quantities we will confirm the delivery date in advance.
