What is the difference between CEE plugs and standard domestic plugs?
CEE connectors (IEC 60309) are standardised industrial plugs with colour-coded voltage identification, higher ingress protection (IP44/IP67) and current ratings up to 125 A. Domestic plugs are designed for household applications up to 16 A. CEE is the standard in professional and industrial environments.

Does Mennekes offer products for hazardous areas (ATEX)?
Yes. Mennekes offers connectors for Zone 1 and Zone 2 (ATEX) – suitable for the chemical industry, mineral oil processing and mining. Please contact us for the correct ATEX classification for your application.
