Since 2002, GABO Systemtechnik has been developing and producing advanced microducts and complete conduit systems that contribute to the efficiency of modern fibre networks. The core range includes pipes, microduct bundles, connectors, seals and repair kits – all coordinated for gas-tight and watertight installations. The flagship product speedpipe® is a microduct system that greatly simplifies the blowing of fibre-optic cables into pre-laid conduits. The product variants speedpipe indoor (in-building installation) and speedpipe burying (direct underground deployment) cover all infrastructure scenarios. All system components are mutually compatible, dividable and reusable. As a technology manufacturer in the growing fibre rollout market (FTTB/FTTH), GABO supplies utilities, telecommunications companies, civil engineering contractors and installers with reliable components for broadband infrastructure projects. |

What is speedpipe and how does it differ from conventional conduits?
speedpipe is a complete microduct system specifically optimised for blowing fibre-optic cables. Unlike conventional conduits, speedpipe provides coordinated connectors and sealing elements as well as a smooth inner surface that minimises air resistance during cable blowing – enabling longer blowing distances and faster installation.
Can GABO conduits be installed directly underground?
Yes. speedpipe burying is specifically designed for direct underground installation – pressure-resistant, UV-stable for above-ground sections, and frost-resistant for Central European climate conditions. The gas-tight and watertight connections protect fibre-optic cables even with fluctuating groundwater levels.
Are GABO components compatible with microducts from other manufacturers?
The speedpipe system components are primarily coordinated with the own product range to guarantee gas-tight and watertight certification. For mixed installations, the GABO technical team is available for compatibility consultation – contact our sales team for a project-specific assessment.
