The latest hybrid technology combines the advantages of wear-free electronic control with the high switching capacity of special relays. The FR61-230V field isolation switch interrupts the power supply after downstream consumers are switched off, thereby preventing disruptive electromagnetic fields. Small consumers with a current consumption of up to 20mA are permitted, which do not prevent the field from being switched off after larger consumers are switched off. The limit value does not have to be set manually, but is learned by the FR61. Consumers with a current consumption of more than 200mA are always defined as consumers that should trigger the connection of the mains voltage. As long as no larger consumer is switched on, the monitored circuit remains 1-pole disconnected from the mains. Neutral and protective conductors are not switched to prevent an antenna effect. A direct voltage of 230V DC with low residual ripple is used for monitoring. Bridging the working contact is therefore not permitted and will destroy the device. When a consumer is switched on, the mains disconnector switches on the monitored outer conductor. When the outer conductors are switched on for the first time and after a power failure, the FR61 automatically re-learns: First, an inrush current of 30mA is specified. If a small consumer is then switched on for longer than 24 hours, the total current consumption of the monitored circuit is less than 200mA and the light has been switched on and off in between, this small consumer is learned and the conductor is switched off. By briefly switching off the relevant circuit breaker, this learning phase can be initiated immediately after connecting a new small consumer.
