What is the Eltako RS485 bus system?
The Eltako RS485 system connects actuators, pushbuttons and the central unit via a two-wire bus cable. Up to 30 bus participants can be operated in parallel. Configuration is carried out via the Eltako PCT14 software – simple, robust, proven in thousands of installations.

How does EnOcean work with Eltako?
EnOcean transmitters harvest their energy from actuation (e.g. button press) or ambient energy (light, temperature). No batteries are required – the wireless pushbuttons are maintenance-free and can be mounted anywhere without electrical installation.

|
Are Eltako products compatible with Home Assistant?
Yes – Eltako is an official "Works with Home Assistant" partner. Series 62-IP products support Matter and can be natively integrated into Home Assistant instances – locally, without cloud dependency.
