Er eignet sich zur Verwendung an allen Kunststoff- und Massekabeln sowohl für Freiluft- als auch Erdverlegungen. Dabei dient er der Isolation und Abdichtung von Verbindungen jeglicher Art, insbesondere auch als Außenschlauch für Steuerleitungsgarnituren. Zur besseren Versiegelung verfügt er über eine Klebstoffbeschichtung auf der Innenwand. Der äußerst alterungsbeständige Warmschrumpfschlauch ist UV-beständig und resistent gegen viele chemische Einflüsse. Seine Schrumpfrate beträgt vier zu eins und er ist einsetzbar in einem Temperaturbereich von -55 °C bis +130 °C. Er ist selbstverlöschend und entspricht der Prüfnorm Lloyds Register of Shipping MIL-I-23053/15.
