C19 / C20 - 16 A Server and PDU Power Plug (IEC 60320)
Three-pole 16 A coupling - the heavy-duty IEC variant for servers, USVs, switching cabinets and rack PDUs.
The C19/C20 connector is the high-current IEC 60320 device coupling. With 16 A at 250 V it doubles the rating of the more common C13/C14 - which is exactly why it is the standard on data centre servers, USVs (uninterruptible power supplies), large switching cabinets and rack-mounted PDUs (Power Distribution Units). The C19 (female, on the cable) and C20 (male, on the device) form a robust, latching connection. Visually distinguishable from C13 by the broader rectangular profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I run a server on C13 instead of C19?
Only if the server has a C14 inlet and the rated power is < 10 A. Modern 1U / 2U servers with redundant PSUs are usually equipped with C20 inlets to allow up to 16 A per supply.
Is C19 compatible with C21?
C21 plugs (high-temperature variant) fit a C20 inlet, but a C19 plug does NOT fit a C22 inlet - the polarisation notch ensures hot-condition cables cannot be used at standard temperature.
Cable cross-section for 16 A?
H05VV-F 3 x 1.5 mm² is the minimum, 3 x 2.5 mm² for runs over 3 m at full load.
