C21 / C22 - High-Temperature 16 A Coupler (IEC 60320)
Three-pole 16 A connector for applications with conductor temperatures up to 155 deg C - the hot-condition counterpart to C19/C20.
The C21/C22 plug is the high-temperature variant of the C19/C20. Identical geometry, identical 16 A current rating - but cleared up to 155 deg C conductor temperature. Application: industrial ovens, saunas, commercial heating, some medical sterilisers. Important: C21 plugs fit C20 inlets mechanically, but the reverse path is blocked by an additional polarisation notch (a C19 plug does NOT fit a C22 inlet).

Frequently Asked Questions
When do I choose C21 over C19?
Whenever ambient temperature at the connector is permanently above 70 deg C - e.g. industrial ovens, saunas, professional baking equipment.
Cable insulation for 155 deg C?
Silicone (SiHF) is the standard - rated up to 180 deg C continuously.
