The cnPilot E500 is an outdoor WLAN access point equipped with the current dual-band AC standard. With the E500 you can create a maximum of 16SSIDs and 256 clients can access an access point at the same time. This is achieved, among other things, by the built-in 2x2MIMO technology. The roaming functionality of the access point makes it possible to set up a network with multiple access points - the system automatically and seamlessly connects each client to the strongest access point. It therefore enables IP telephony over the WLAN network.
Areas of application: - Public places - Company premises, e.g. to connect hand-held scanners - Hotel facilities (the Cambium e400 is ideal for indoor areas and the E500 for outdoor areas)
Controller: Cambium Networks relies on a free cloud and/or free software for the controller, which does not come with any great features technical knowledge can be used. Unlike many competitors, no licenses or similar fees are required for the controller.
