2N Telecommunications was founded in Prague in 1991 and, as part of the Axis Communications Group, is today the European market leader for IP-based door entry systems, intercom solutions and access control. The company operates in over 100 countries, serving security integrators, IT solution providers and commercial enterprises with professional IP communication solutions for building access and security.
The product portfolio includes IP door entry stations from the 2N IP Verso, 2N IP Force and 2N IP Style series, as well as 2N Access Commander software for centralised access management. 2N IP Verso & IP Style – Designer Door Stations
Premium modular IP door entry stations with interchangeable button modules, integrated HD camera and touch display (IP Style). Ideal for representative building entrances in commercial offices, medical practices and professionally managed properties. PoE-powered, SIP-compatible.
2N IP Force & IP Safety – Rugged Outdoor Stations
Weatherproof and vandal-resistant IP door entry stations with IK10 impact protection and IP65 rating for industrial outdoor use. The 2N IP Safety series is designed for security-critical environments and supports multiple access methods (RFID, PIN, fingerprint).
2N Access Commander – Access Management Software
Web-based access control software for centralised management of all 2N access terminals and door entry stations. Supports schedules, access zones, user profiles and integration with enterprise directories (Active Directory, LDAP). Scalable from a few to thousands of users.
2N IP Indoor Units & Answer Stations

All 2N IP stations are SIP-compatible and integrate directly with telephone systems from Cisco, Unify, Auerswald, 3CX and Mitel. Calls from the door station reach any SIP phone or softphone – without proprietary middleware.
Ruggedness for Industrial Environments

Answers for procurement and planning
Which 2N IP door station is suitable for industrial outdoor applications?
For harsh outdoor environments, the 2N IP Force (IP65, IK10) or 2N IP Safety with extended temperature range from –40 °C to +70 °C is recommended. Both models are vandal-resistant, PoE-powered and support RFID plus optional fingerprint recognition. The IP Force is available in various configurations (1–5 call buttons, camera).
Can 2N Access Commander be integrated with Active Directory?
Yes. 2N Access Commander supports synchronisation with Active Directory and LDAP directory services. User accounts, groups and access rights can be imported directly from the AD structure, considerably simplifying the management of access permissions in large organisations.
Is 2N IP Verso compatible with Cisco UCM and Unify OpenScape?
2N IP Verso and all other SIP-based 2N stations are certified or compatible with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM), Unify OpenScape, Auerswald COMpact and 3CX. Configuration is carried out via the web-based 2N management interface; a dedicated 2N interoperability guide is available.
