Communication between the 2N reader and the controller takes place via the OSDP protocol, which offers higher security than the Wiegand protocol and also encrypts the transmitted data. The OSDP module is primarily intended for the 2N® IP Verso and 2N® IP Style intercoms, but it can also be used with the 2N Access Unit 2.0 intelligent readers.
For the 2N® IP Verso and 2N® LTE Verso intercoms, install the OSDP module under another module (e.g. under the RFID card reader, Bluetooth reader, the keyboard) for the 2N® IP Style intercom and the 2N Access Unit readers 2.0, the OSDP module must be placed outside the device.
