XBK-Kabel – cables for control cabinet and machineXBK-KABEL Xaver Bechtold GmbH was founded in 1926 and is based in Rottweil in Baden-Württemberg. The company manufactures cables for industry – the material by the metre from which control cabinets are wired and machines are connected. In our range flexible control cables make up the largest part, above all the YSLY series in its versions: JZ with protective earth and numbered cores, OZ without protective earth, JB with coloured cores and YSLYCY in screened form. Alongside these are H05/H07V-K wiring cables, halogen-free cables and NYM sheathed cables. For the panel builder the construction decides more than the price: a screened cable belongs on the frequency converter, a halogen-free one in escape routes and public buildings, and numbered cores save more time during commissioning than the surcharge costs. |

Frequently asked questions
What do JZ, OZ and JB mean on YSLY cables?The J stands for an included green/yellow protective earth, the O for a cable without one. Z means the cores are consecutively numbered, B that they are colour coded. YSLY-JZ is therefore the control cable with protective earth and numbered cores – the most common version in control cabinet building.
When do I need a screened cable?Wherever interference can be coupled in or radiated out: on frequency converters, for measuring and signal cables, and wherever control cables run parallel to power cables. The screen has to be contacted over its full surface, otherwise it has little effect.
How does H05V-K differ from H07V-K?In the rated voltage and the insulation thickness: H05 is designed for the lower voltage level, H07 for the higher one. Control cabinets are mostly wired with H07V-K; H05V-K is found in devices and where requirements are lower.
