Vershoven 01.32000 A24OBL special telephone as line selector with VA handset cord content_copy

The Vershoven A24OBL, manufacturer's part number 01.32000, is a special telephone designed as a line selector for autonomous telephone systems. It enables separate connection of up to ten telephone lines and is equipped with a VA handset cord. The device is intended for use in industrial or technical environments where a reliable and independent telephone connection is required, for example in security or monitoring systems.

Applications
The Vershoven A24OBL is used in systems where multiple telephone lines must be operated independently. Typical applications include industrial communication systems, emergency call systems, or systems requiring redundant telephone connections. The ability to connect up to ten lines separately makes it particularly suitable for complex networks where selective dialing of individual lines is required.

Functions and Equipment in Detail
The device features an integrated ringtone generator that produces a piezo ringtone with a sound level of 60 to 90 dB(A) at a distance of one meter. This ringtone is designed for clear and audible notification in various environments. The ringtone generator operates at a voltage of 42 V and a frequency of 50 Hz in sine mode. Additional features include an energy-saving mode that minimizes power consumption, as well as battery monitoring that tracks the battery charge level. A volume control allows adjustment of the tone level to suit the respective environment.

Technology Explained Simply
Power supply is provided by four 1.5-V baby cells (alkaline LR14) built into the device. These batteries ensure autonomous operation, even when no external power supply is available. The VA handset cord enables a secure and stable connection between the handset and the device. The IP66 protection rating ensures the device is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use or in humid environments. The operating temperature ranges from −20 °C to +55 °C, ensuring reliable performance even under climatically demanding conditions.

Compatibility and Accessories
The device has connections for La, Lb1 to Lb10, as well as W2, enabling connection to up to ten separate telephone lines. It is specifically designed for use with VA handset cords, which ensure secure and interference-free communication. The mentioned connections are suitable for integration into existing telephone systems or for use in new systems.

Mounting and Installation
The enclosure is made of polyamide and has dimensions of 221 × 154 × 105 mm (H × W × D). The mounting hole spacing is 128 to 134 mm, allowing flexible installation on various surfaces. Installation is typically done on a wall or in an enclosure, with mounting points matching the specified spacing. The weight is approximately 1.5 kg, requiring secure mounting.

Advantages in Operation
The Vershoven A24OBL offers high reliability due to its autonomous power supply and robust construction. The IP66 protection rating and operating temperature range of −20 °C to +55 °C make it suitable for use in harsh environments. The integrated battery monitoring ensures operation is not interrupted by depleted batteries. The volume control allows optimal adjustment to different environmental conditions, enhancing user-friendliness. The ability to connect up to ten lines separately provides flexibility in use and supports complex communication structures.

Storage Note
The device can be stored at temperatures from −40 °C to +70 °C. Relative humidity should not exceed 95% to avoid damage from condensation. Therefore, storage conditions should be kept dry and temperature-stable to ensure long-term functionality.
