Vershoven 01.22000 Special telephone A24OB with VA handset cord content_copy

The Vershoven A24OB, manufacturer's part number 01.22000, is a robust special telephone designed for use in damp, dusty, or industrial environments. It features a VA handset cord and is specifically designed for applications where high mechanical stress, high humidity, or dust exposure occurs. The device is suitable both as a station telephone in telephone systems and as an endpoint in public or industrial areas.

Applications
The special telephone A24OB is designed for use in environments where standard telephones are not sufficiently protected. This includes, for example, production halls, warehouses, workshops, kitchen areas, or other areas with increased humidity or dust exposure. The IP66 protection rating ensures that the device is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use as well, provided there is no direct sunlight or extreme weather conditions.

Functions and Features in Detail
The telephone features 16 robust keys designed for frequent operation and high durability. The keys are clearly structured, enabling fast and secure input. An integrated, switchable hearing amplifier is included to increase audibility when needed, for example in noisy environments. The device supports both multi-frequency dialing (MFV) and pulse dialing (IWV), ensuring compatibility with various telephone systems and networks. The ring tone volume is 60 to 90 dB(A) at a distance of one meter, ensuring sufficient audibility in large rooms or noisy environments.

Technology Explained Simply
The IP66 protection rating means the device is completely dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. This makes it particularly suitable for damp or dusty environments. The operating temperature range of −25 °C to +55 °C allows use in rooms with varying climates, including cool warehouses or warm production areas. The storage temperature range of −40 °C to +70 °C indicates that the device remains undamaged even under extreme storage conditions. The maximum relative humidity of 95 % is also an indicator of its suitability for use in damp environments, such as kitchens or laundry areas.

Compatibility and Accessories
The device can be used as a station telephone in telephone systems and is also suitable as an endpoint. It supports MFV and IWV dialing methods, enabling broad compatibility with various telephone systems and networks. The VA handset cord is permanently integrated, ensuring a secure connection. No specific accessory information is available in the sources, so no additional components or combination options are documented.

Mounting and Installation
The telephone is wall-mounted. The mounting hole spacing is 128 to 134 mm, allowing standard installation on many wall brackets. Mounting is done using screws, which are typically included in the delivery, although this is not explicitly confirmed in the sources. The device dimensions are 105 mm (length) × 154 mm (width) × 221 mm (height), resulting in a compact design suitable for installation in tight spaces.

Operational Advantages
The robust construction and high IP66 protection rating ensure a long service life and low maintenance. The integrated VA handset cord prevents the handset from being lost and ensures a constantly available connection. Support for MFV and IWV enables flexible use in various network environments. The ring tone volume of 60 to 90 dB(A) ensures sufficient audibility, even in noisy environments. The operating temperature range of −25 °C to +55 °C allows use under a wide range of climatic conditions.
