Corded Analogue Phones – Product Details & Advice
Corded analogue phones are the simplest and most reliable telephone solution: power from the phone line (48 V DC), no dependence on mains power, operational even during power outages. DTMF multi-frequency dialling (ITU-T Q.23) is standard; pulse dialling is obsolete and no longer supported. Used on analogue exchange lines, analogue extensions of ISDN/IP PBX systems or ATA adapters. Features range from simple single-tariff phones to comfort phones with graphic display, speed dial memory (100+ entries) and headset connection (RJ9 or 3.5 mm).
ISDN variants: Corded ISDN Phones. All cordless phones: Cordless Phones DECT.
Frequently Asked Questions
▶ Can analogue phones be operated on IP PBX systems? Yes – via analogue a/b ports of the PBX or via ATA adapters on the SIP router. Comfort functions of the IP PBX (CTI, presence, app integration) are then not available; basic functions (calling, hanging up, call forwarding) work. |
▶ What does CLIR mean and how do I activate it on the phone? CLIR (Calling Line Identification Restriction) suppresses transmission of your own number. Activated at the phone by dialling *31# before the called number (single suppression) or permanently configured in the PBX. The called party then sees 'Unknown' or 'Number withheld'. |
▶ Which phone for loud industrial environments? For loud environments (above 80 dB), we recommend phones with amplified handset (+20 dB), visual call indicator (flash light) and robust housing. Industrial phones (separately under Industrial Phones) are specifically designed for IP65+ protection class and EMC robustness. |
