▶ What is the difference between a concurrent call and user licence?
Concurrent call licence: The number of simultaneous calls is licenced – regardless of how many users are registered. Useful when not all users call simultaneously (typically: 3CX). User licence: Each user needs a licence, regardless of simultaneous use. Typical for UC platforms (Microsoft Teams, STARFACE). Usually cheaper for low call volume: concurrent call.
▶ Can licences be transferred to other hardware?
This depends on the manufacturer: Auerswald licences are tied to the hardware serial number – when replacing a device, licences must be migrated by the manufacturer.
