Mandatory per IEC 60364-7-710 / DIN VDE 0100-710: In Group 1 and Group 2 medical locations, a Central Protective Equipotential Bonding (CPE) system is mandatory. All conductive parts – enclosures, beds, infusion stands, pipework – are connected to a common bonding conductor (max. 0.1 Ωresistance) and protective earth. Purpose: fault currents cannot flow through the patient.
