This communication module is part of the Modicon M580 range, a range of programmable automation controllers (PACs) and safety-related programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with integrated Ethernet. The BMENOP0300 module enables IEC 61850 compliant data exchange in industrial, energy and power grid applications. The Modicon M580 automation platform meets the requirements of TC treatment (all climate treatment) and can operate in a temperature range of 0°C to +60°C/32°F to 140°F. The BMENOP300 module has 3 Ethernet ports. It offers an MMS messaging client for IEC 61850, an MMS messaging server for IEC 61850, Goose for IEC 61850 and Modbus TCP messaging. This module meets the requirements of applications in transportation, water and wastewater, consumer packaged goods, mining, minerals, metals, power generation, energy and chemicals and data centers. This product complies with CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC and UKCA standards and is certified for power generation, merchant marine, railway and hazardous area applications. This connector assembly is compatible with the full range of M580 CPUs and must be installed on a BMEXBPxxx - Ethernet + X-Bus module carrier. The communication module occupies one slot in the rack. This product can be used in combination with Modicon X80 (I/O, module carrier, cables) and works with the EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software.
