This redundant safety processor is part of the Modicon M580 range, a range of programmable logic controllers (PACs) and safety-related programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with integrated Ethernet. This processor is compatible with Modicon X80 and Quantum modules with RJ45 (490NAC0100) and fiber optic single-mode (490NAC0201) connections to build a redundant architecture. The CPU must be installed in the module carrier slots marked 00 and 01, using 2 screws on the top of the CPU to hold the module in the module carrier. This product can be used in combination with Modicon X80 (I/O, backplane, cables) and works with EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software.
