The Modicon ABL8 Universal series of switched-mode power supplies are ideal for most industrial applications and are designed in particular for direct current supply in automation applications. The ABL8 product family impresses with its compact and robust design and includes power supplies with an output voltage of 24V DC. This functional module for the Modicon ABL8 power supplies is used for short-term buffering of a 24V DC supply. This means that micro-interruptions in the supply networks can be compensated and do not lead to faults in automation applications. Depending on the power requirement, a buffer time of up to 2 seconds at 2 A or 0.2 seconds at 20 A can be achieved. The maximum current is 40A. An LED display provides information on the status of the buffer module and a diagnostic relay indicates the status. Suitable for international use due to the large number of existing product standards and certifications.
