RCS Audio-Systems SM-025 Shoulder Megaphone, max. 25 W content_copy

The SM-025 from RCS Audio-Systems is a robust transistor megaphone designed for use in loud or large-scale environments such as events, swimming pools, or construction sites. The device features a highly directional sound horn made of impact- and scratch-resistant ABS plastic, which focuses the sound projection and enables a maximum outdoor range of up to 1,000 meters. The enclosure is finished in a pearl white-light brown color scheme and includes a prominent red signal stripe, making it highly visible in public spaces.

Applications
This megaphone is suitable for applications requiring clear, long-range voice transmission. Typical use cases include construction sites, sporting events, public gatherings, or security services, where quick and unambiguous communication over long distances is essential. Its robust construction also makes it suitable for outdoor use, where it may be exposed to mechanical stress and environmental influences.

Features and Equipment in Detail
The SM-025 is equipped with a directional microphone featuring a coiled cable, which significantly reduces feedback susceptibility and ensures clear, distortion-free voice transmission. The talk button on the microphone includes a lock function, allowing the user to free their hand for signaling or movement, while the volume can be adjusted via an integrated volume control directly on the microphone. These controls enable comfortable one-handed operation, making handling during use particularly efficient.

Technology Explained Simply
The megaphone has a maximum power output of 25 watts, ensuring sufficiently loud and clear voice transmission over large distances. Power is supplied by six standard baby cells (type UM-2), providing up to 8 hours of operation under normal use. The batteries are readily available and can be quickly replaced without needing to power off the device. The ABS plastic enclosure is resistant to mechanical stress and offers good durability for frequent use.

Compatibility and Accessories
An optional storage box is available for the SM-025, allowing the device to be stored safely and dust-free. Alternative models mentioned include the EPACK 1Y PW FC NBD ANLZ 2500 HW and the EPACK 4Y FC NBD WCDMR FF 5980 4, but these are not included in the standard delivery. The mentioned alternatives are not directly compatible with the SM-025 but represent different product variants.

Mounting and Installation
The megaphone is designed as a handheld device and requires no mounting or installation. It is operated directly by hand using the integrated microphone. The ergonomic shape of the enclosure allows for secure and comfortable handling, even during extended use.

Operational Advantages
The combination of long range, robust design, and easy operation makes the SM-025 a reliable communication tool. The lock function of the talk button and the integrated volume control reduce the need to remove the hand from the device, increasing efficiency during use. The use of standardized baby cells ensures simple and cost-effective maintenance.
