RCS Audio-Systems HM-025 Hand megaphone, max. 25 W content_copy

The RCS Audio-Systems HM-025 is a handheld megaphone from the WHM series, specifically designed for use by security services, police, fire departments, and in marine environments such as watersports and seafaring. It features high robustness, weather resistance, and user-friendliness. The device provides clear voice transmission, optimized directivity to minimize feedback, and a range of up to 1000 meters outdoors. The transparent horn ensures maximum visibility, which is particularly advantageous for rescue services or water rescues. The enclosure is made of ASA plastic, which is UV- and weather-resistant, and simultaneously enables a low weight of 1.1 kg, making the megaphone easy to handle even during prolonged operations.

Applications
The HM-025 is designed for operational situations requiring clear, loud communication under challenging conditions. This includes police and fire department personnel, security services, and marine personnel such as rescue swimmers or ship crews. The splash-proof design according to IPX4 makes it suitable for use in rain, spray, or humid environments. The transparent horn front allows unobstructed visibility, which is important during rescue operations or when leading groups outdoors.

Functions and Features in Detail
The megaphone has a maximum output power of 25 watts, ensuring clear communication over long distances. Power is supplied by six C-type (UM-2) batteries, which enable up to 6 hours of operation under normal use. The one-handed operation and pistol grip with integrated carrying strap ensure safe and comfortable handling. The direction-optimized microphone reduces feedback, improving sound quality and enhancing the intelligibility of transmitted messages.

Technology Explained Simply
The IPX4 protection rating according to IEC60529 means the device is protected against splashing water, making it suitable for outdoor use in rain or coastal areas. The ASA plastic enclosure is not only lightweight but also resistant to UV radiation and weathering, extending the device's lifespan. The maximum range of 1000 meters outdoors results from the combination of power, horn shape, and directivity, which directs sound precisely in one direction.

Compatibility and Accessories
An optional storage box is available for the HM-025, helping to safely transport and store the device. Alternative models mentioned include EPACK 1Y PW FC NBD ANLZ 2500 HW and EPACK 4Y FC NBD WCDMR FF 5980 4, but these are not included in the standard delivery. The mentioned alternatives are not directly compatible with the HM-025 but represent different product variants.

Mounting and Installation
The HM-025 is designed as a portable device and requires no mounting or installation. It is held directly in hand or worn over the shoulder using the included carrying strap. Operation is via a simple push-button on the pistol grip, which activates voice transmission.

Operational Advantages
The combination of low weight, splash-proof design, and clear sound makes the HM-025 a reliable communication tool in demanding operational situations. The transparent horn front allows unobstructed visibility, which is beneficial during rescue operations or when leading groups outdoors. The battery power supply using six C-cells is easy to handle and provides sufficient runtime for typical use.
