Founded in 1975 by Franz Hafner in Oppenweiler, Murrelektronik has remained a family-owned company on a consistent growth trajectory. The product portfolio ranges from connectors, fieldbus cables and sensor cables to I/O systems and power supplies, up to the innovative cabinet-free automation platform Vario-X.

97% of products are manufactured at the Oppenweiler headquarters. The in-house test centre with DAkkS-accredited EMC laboratory ensures quality at the highest level. Murrelektronik received the German Innovation Award for Vario-X, recognising its consistently decentralised automation concept.
