Frequently Asked Questions about Moeller Electric / Eaton
Are Moeller Electric products now available under the Eaton brand?
Yes. After the acquisition by Eaton Corporation in 2008, classic Moeller products (PKZM, DIL, FAZ) continue to be manufactured and are partly marketed under the dual name "Eaton Moeller". Part numbers have remained largely identical.
Which PKZM motor-protective circuit breaker is right for my motor?
The key factor is the motor's rated current. PKZM0 covers 0.16–32 A, PKZM4 covers 16–63 A. The set range should include the motor's rated current. We are happy to advise you on the correct selection – simply get in touch.
Can PKZM breakers be used without fuses?
Yes. The PKZM series is designed as fuseless motor protection – short-circuit and overload protection are integrated in the device. This simplifies control cabinet construction and reduces installation costs.
