The GbE Multimode Extender SFP Transceiver is an innovative and compact optical transceiver module specifically designed for data transmission in gigabit networks. Supporting transmission rates of up to 1.25 Gbps and a maximum range of 2 km, this SFP transceiver provides a reliable solution for applications based on multimode fiber optic networks.

The Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) design allows for high-density installations and flexible usage in actively equipped network components. Thanks to its hot-swap capability, the module can be installed or replaced during operation without disrupting the network. The standardized specifications according to MSA (Multi Source Agreement) and SFF-8472 ensure seamless integration into compatible systems and offer additional features, such as a digital diagnostic interface (available in the DDM version).

The transceiver utilizes a Fabry-Perot laser operating at a wavelength of 1310 nm and connects seamlessly to other network components via the standardized LC duplex interface. With an operating temperature range from 0 °C to +70 °C, the transceiver is suitable for both controlled environments and moderately challenging conditions.

This transceiver is ideal for applications such as Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Fiber Channel, and is available in two variants: with (DDM) or without a digital diagnostic interface.
