McShine – LED replacement for common lamp basesUnder the McShine name we list LED lamps that replace conventional incandescent and halogen lamps in existing luminaires. The lamps fit the widespread bases and need no new luminaire. The range includes LED bulbs and drop lamps for E27, candle lamps for E14, filament lamps with the look of classic filaments, and retrofits for GU10 mains voltage and MR16 low voltage. A small LED work light with COB technology completes it. For replacement, base, colour temperature and brightness count: warm white light matches familiar incandescent light, and with MR16 lamps it should be checked whether the existing transformer copes with the low load of an LED. |

Frequently asked questions
How do I find the right LED lamp?First determine the base, such as E27 or GU10. Then choose colour temperature and brightness: warm white matches incandescent light, and brightness is given in lumens, not watts.
Will an MR16 LED retrofit work on my transformer?Many older halogen transformers need a minimum load that a single LED lamp does not reach. The lamp then flickers or stays dark. The remedy is an LED-compatible transformer or several lamps on the same transformer.
