Jean Müller – low-voltage technology from EltvilleJean Müller was founded in Eltville am Rhein in 1897 and builds switchgear and fuse technology for low-voltage distribution. The products sit where energy is distributed and switched off in the event of a fault – from the house connection box to distribution in industrial plants. In our range NH fuses and their accessories form by far the largest group: fuse links in the common sizes, fuse switch disconnectors, bases, covers and operating handles. Added to this are meter cabinet components, terminals and standard bases. For network and plant operators what counts here above all is safety when switching under load. A switch disconnector allows an outgoing circuit to be switched off without anyone pulling individual fuse links while live – the difference between a planned operation and a risk. |

Frequently asked questions
Which NH size do I need?The existing base or strip determines it – the sizes are not interchangeable. If no installation is available as a reference, the size follows the rated current of the outgoing circuit. Size and current appear in our item titles.
What is the difference between operating classes gG and aM?gG protects cables over the entire range from overload to short circuit. aM is intended for protecting switchgear and motor circuits and only operates at considerably higher currents – on its own it is not suitable as cable protection.
Can I replace an existing switch disconnector?Only if size, number of poles and busbar spacing match. The busbar spacing is the detail most often overlooked; it is part of the type designation. If in doubt, send us the designation of the existing unit.
