PC Cases

The PC case holds all components and protects them. The choice of form factor determines which motherboards, graphics cards and cooling solutions are compatible.

Form factors: mini-tower (mATX, compact, little space), midi-tower (ATX standard, balanced), big-tower (E-ATX, maximum expandability), desktop (flat, for desk mounting). Hot-swap bays, drive cages and cable management systems are often integrated. Server stand-alone cases for rack-independent server installation.

External hard drive enclosures (USB/eSATA) for external storage solutions. Important when choosing: graphics card length, CPU cooler height, number of drive bays.

FAQ

Which form factor is needed for an ATX motherboard?
Midi-tower or big-tower. Mini-tower is only suitable for mATX and Mini-ITX. Please check motherboard form factor before buying a case.

How important is airflow in the case?
Good airflow prevents thermal throttling (performance reduction). Important: air intake at front/bottom, exhaust at top/back. Choose cases with good mounting options for 120/140 mm fans.
