This HDMI adapter with plug to socket injects 5 V into the cable and improves the power supply of the connection. At longer HDMI distances from 5 m, the source's 5 V may be insufficient, which can lead to picture disturbances up to outages. The additional power supply via USB supports clean picture transmission to the receiver.
In professional IT environments, during on-site deployments and in service use, the adapter provides a pragmatic solution when existing runs or passive extensions reduce the voltage reserve.
