Which Idencom BioKey models are suitable for outdoor installation?
BioKey outdoor models with IP65 protection class are designed for permanent exterior use. They feature vandal-resistant metal housings, illuminated fingerprint sensors for low-light operation and an extended operating temperature range. Typical installation points include factory gates, underground car park entrances and production building access points.

Can Idencom BioKey be integrated into an existing access control system?
Yes – BioKey fingerprint readers support the widely used Wiegand protocol (26-bit standard and extended formats) as well as RS-485. This allows connection to virtually all commercially available access control controllers without replacing the existing installation. Lieske can advise on compatibility on request.

Are Idencom fingerprint access systems GDPR compliant?
Idencom BioKey systems do not store fingerprint images – only encrypted mathematical templates from which no fingerprint image can be reconstructed. Data remains locally in the device without cloud transmission. For a fully GDPR-compliant deployment, additional organisational measures such as a works agreement and processing activity register are also required.
