GETAC develops and manufactures rugged computers for industries where standard consumer hardware fails: military and defence, public safety (police, fire services, emergency services), utilities, automotive, mining and manufacturing. Devices are protected against shock, vibration, extreme temperatures (–29 to +63 °C), dust, rain and humidity.

The product portfolio includes fully rugged notebooks (B-series), rugged convertibles (V-series), fully rugged tablets (F- and T-series) and specialised platforms for vehicle mounting and command centre use. GETAC Select offers industry-specific solution packages including software, accessories and services for standard deployment scenarios.

What does "Fully Rugged" mean compared to "Semi-Rugged"?

Fully Rugged means the entire housing and all components are designed from the ground up for extreme environments – without compromise. All connectors are sealed (IP65/66), the device survives drops from 1.8 m and extreme temperature changes. Semi-Rugged devices only partially meet some of these requirements.

Can GETAC devices be used in ATEX explosion-proof areas?

Selected GETAC models are optionally available with ATEX Zone 2/22 certification (Europe) – suitable for use in areas with explosive gas or dust atmospheres. These models are particularly relevant for the oil and gas industry, chemicals and mining. ATEX variants must be specified accordingly at the time of ordering.

Which GETAC is best suited for police vehicles?

The GETAC B360 is the proven standard for police vehicle computers – it became the official standard platform for the US Air Force and is used by law enforcement agencies worldwide. The device features a bright outdoor display, dedicated radio communication interfaces and is certified for vehicle mounting.
