ELDAT EaS GmbH, headquartered in Wildau (Brandenburg, Germany), is one of Germany's leading developers and manufacturers of radio technologies for building installation. The company employs more than 100 staff and manufactures its products in Germany. In 2001, ELDAT launched the Easywave radio system in collaboration with leading building installation manufacturers.

The product portfolio includes battery-free wireless wall switches and hand transmitters of the RTS and CTS series, radio receivers and actuators for lighting, blind and access control, bus-based radio systems, and radio transmission systems for industrial and commercial applications. What is the Easywave system and how does it work? Easywave is a proprietary radio system based on 868 MHz for building automation. Transmitters and receivers communicate bidirectionally or unidirectionally; battery-free transmitters harvest their transmission energy from the actuation movement. The system is designed for interoperability – many building technology manufacturers offer compatible devices.

Can ELDAT products be combined with KNX or other bus systems? Yes, via Easywave-KNX gateways and couplers, ELDAT wireless components can be integrated into KNX-based building automation systems. This allows existing KNX installations to be supplemented with wireless controls without modifying the existing infrastructure.

Which commercial applications are ELDAT wireless products particularly suited for?
