Since October 2022, DoorBird has been part of ASSA ABLOY, the world's leading access control group. All devices are fully designed and manufactured in Berlin. Can DoorBird be integrated into existing access control systems?
Yes – DoorBird offers an open REST API and SIP/VoIP integration. The system can connect with ONVIF-compatible NVRs, KNX, smart home platforms (e.g. Loxone, Home Assistant) and professional access management software.

Is a cloud connection required?
No – DoorBird also works completely locally via SIP/VoIP. The cloud function additionally enables worldwide remote access via app but is not mandatory. No compulsory subscription, no monthly fees.

What is the ingress protection rating of DoorBird outdoor stations?
DoorBird surface-mount stations achieve IP54, flush-mount variants IP65 – suitable for outdoor areas even in harsh weather conditions. Operating temperature range: –35 °C to +60 °C.
