Type H (SI 32) - The Israeli Mains Plug
Three flat pins in a unique Y arrangement - the Israeli national standard since 1989 with Europlug compatibility.
The Type H plug per SI 32 is the Israeli national mains plug, used exclusively in Israel and the Palestinian territories. Three flat pins arranged in a distinctive Y configuration - line and neutral set apart, earth in the middle below them. Rated 16 A at 230 V. The current SI 32 (1989) replaced an older round-pin variant; modern Israeli sockets accept both the new flat-pin H plug and the European Europlug Type C, but not Schuko.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will Schuko fit an Israeli H socket?
Only Europlug Type C - which is part of the Schuko cable family - fits. A pure Schuko Type F plug does NOT fit. Use a CEE 7/7 hybrid travel adapter.
Why was the round-pin H replaced in 1989?
The original round-pin standard was electrically compatible with the Italian Type L and led to confusion. The flat-pin Y arrangement is uniquely Israeli and avoids cross-compatibility issues.
Is Type H polarised?
Yes - the asymmetric Y arrangement means the plug fits in one orientation only.
