CEAG is one of the world's leading brands for explosion-protected electrical equipment, now part of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds series. With over 100 years of experience in explosion protection, CEAG develops and manufactures luminaires, plugs and sockets, control stations, emergency stop switches and switchgear for use in hazardous areas (Ex-zones) to ATEX and IECEx standards. Products are approved for Zone 1 and Zone 2 (flammable gases) as well as Zone 21 and Zone 22 (flammable dusts).

The CEAG range includes the LED luminaire series HLL, eLLK, PXLED and LPL for explosion-protected lighting with service lives up to 110,000 hours, GHG plugs and CEE connectors for power supply in Ex-areas, GHG25 safety switches, and GHG41 control stations and emergency stop stations for hazardous production environments. All products meet the strictest international requirements for use in oil and gas plants, petrochemical operations, the chemical industry and mining.

Explosion-protected luminaires, plugs and control devices to ATEX/IECEx for Zone 1–22

PXLED / LPL – Ex LED Floodlights The CEAG PXLED and LPL series are compact, modular LED floodlights for IEC Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. With luminous flux from 5,000 to 32,000 lumens and a service life of 100,000 hours, they replace halogen and metal halide luminaires in chemical and gas plants.		HLL / eLLK – Ex LED Linear Luminaires Linear LED luminaires for Zone 1 and Zone 2 with a service life of up to 110,000 hours and a temperature range of –25 to +55 °C. Ideal for general illumination of hazardous halls, tunnels and industrial areas with explosive atmospheres.

GHG – Ex Plugs & CEE Connectors CEAG GHG plugs and sockets for Ex power supply in Zone 1 and Zone 21 – certified to ATEX and IECEx. The series includes plugs, couplings and distribution units for low voltage up to 690 V, designed for oil and gas plants, refineries and marine applications.		GHG25 / GHG41 – Ex Control Stations & Switches Explosion-protected control stations (GHG41), safety switches (GHG25), push buttons and emergency stop stations for Zone 1 and Zone 2 in process industries. Deployed in chemical plants, refineries, water treatment plants and other ATEX-regulated facilities.

Ex Emergency Luminaires & Safety Lighting Explosion-protected emergency luminaires with Zone 1 and Zone 21 approval for escape route lighting and safety signs in Ex-hazardous installations. Metal housing, corrosion-resistant version, suitable for offshore platforms and chemical plants.		Ex Hand & Work Luminaires CEAG LED hand and work lamps for inspection and maintenance in Ex-areas – approved for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22. Typical applications: wastewater treatment plants, oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, shipyards and mining operations.

What does ATEX certification mean for CEAG products? ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) is EU Directive 2014/34/EU for equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres. CEAG products with ATEX certification are tested and approved for use in defined Ex-zones (Zone 1, 2, 21, 22) with flammable gases or dusts – thus meeting the legal requirements for ATEX-regulated industrial plants in the EU.

For which Ex-zones are CEAG luminaires approved? CEAG offers luminaires for Zone 1 and Zone 2 (explosive gas atmosphere) as well as Zone 21 and Zone 22 (explosive dust).
