This converter transforms an HDMI® signal for output on two serial digital interface (SDI) devices, supporting 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI output through two coax BNC connectors. It provides purely digital, real-time conversion with no loss of video or audio quality. It can be combined with the VSC-SDI-HDMI converter to extend HDMI over coax and features a loop-out function, allowing video daisy-chaining via one of the coax connectors. Supporting 1080p HDMI video and Deep Color resolutions, it autodetects the SDI standard on its 75-ohm coax outputs.

Use it to integrate consumer electronics devices, such as cameras with HDMI output, into an SDI environment. The converter supports a wide range of HD video formats and ensures purely digital HDMI-to-SDI conversion with no signal loss for both video and audio.

Perfect for use in TV studios, post-production, digital cinema, or AV applications, this device displays uncompressed digital video from an HDMI source on professional SDI monitors or connects HDMI cameras to SDI switching equipment. It also features SDI loop-out via a second coax connector, enabling video display on two SDI monitors—one locally and one in another room—or to daisy-chain additional SDI equipment.

The HDMI to 3G-SDI/HD-SDI Converter supports up to eight audio channels, including 7.1 or 5.1 surround sound, alongside HDMI video. It is compatible with Dolby® TrueHD audio equipment and handles bit rates from 270 Mbps up to 2.97 Gbps for compatibility with both older and newer SDI standards.
