Modular DKM KVM extenders offer the broadest selection of video and peripheral signal combinations, ensuring you get the right KVM extender even for very specific applications.

Base Modules:

These modules provide one or two video ports and two USB HID ports for keyboard and mouse. They also offer CATx or LC fiber connections for remote connectivity or to a central KVM switch. Each DKM extender chassis must be equipped with at least one base module.

• Video formats: Single Link DVI-D, DVI-I with VGA input and DVI-D output, Dual Head DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort.
• USB: 2x USB HID (keyboard/mouse).
• Video resolutions: Single Link DVI up to 2048 x 1152, Dual Link DVI up to 2560 x 1600/2x2K, HDMI up to 1080p, DisplayPort up to 4K.
• Range: Up to 140m (CATx), 1000m (multimode fiber), 10km (single-mode fiber).

Advanced Functions:

• Modules with redundant links for applications that require a backchannel, or where two users share a video channel.
• Modules with integrated 2-port switch allow local and remote console connections or access to multiple remote computers.
• Optional: transparent USB 2.0 modules for Wacom tablets or other high-bandwidth USB devices.

Chassis:

• Available in desktop versions with 2, 4, or 6 slots or a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) version with 21 slots.
• For critical applications, choose versions with dual power supplies for redundancy.
• Power options: Internal, external, AC or DC (12V, 24V, 48V).
• Installation options: Wall mounting, under-desk, DIN rail, or 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) IT rack.

Connections:

• CATx or fiber connections (1 Gbps or 2.5 Gbps high-speed) based on desired distance and bandwidth.
• No separate cable connection required to the opposite side when using upgrade modules.
