Axis 5503-102 Accessory power supply unit PSU T8007 PS24 24 V DC content_copy

The AXIS power supply 5503-102 is an indoor power supply device for security cameras, specifically developed for powering AXIS products indoors. It serves as a power supply for the operating voltage of surveillance cameras and delivers a constant direct voltage. The device is designed for indoor use and supports the power supply of cameras operated with a 24-volt direct voltage. It is part of the CPNT product family and is marketed under the manufacturer's number 5503-102.

Applications
This power supply is primarily intended for indoor use, where a stable and continuous power supply for surveillance cameras is required. It is suitable for applications in offices, warehouses, administrative buildings, or other enclosed spaces where AXIS cameras are installed. Power is supplied via the public electricity grid, with the device performing the necessary voltage conversion from alternating to direct current. The output is 24 V DC, which is standard for many AXIS cameras, particularly the T90C10 series.

Functions and Equipment in Detail
The AXIS 5503-102 delivers an output voltage of 24 V DC with a maximum current of 1.5 A, equivalent to a power output of 36 W. This specification enables the supply of cameras with high energy requirements without voltage drop. Power is supplied via the public electricity grid, with the device handling the necessary voltage conversion. The output voltage is stable and designed for the continuous operational reliability of surveillance cameras. The device is available for markets in the USA, Australia, and China, with markets in the EU, UK, and Japan being served again from August 2021.

Technology Explained Simply
The power supply converts the alternating voltage from the public electricity grid (e.g. 230 V AC) into a constant direct voltage of 24 V DC. This direct voltage is required to operate the electronics of surveillance cameras safely and efficiently. The output power of 36 W (24 V × 1.5 A) is sufficient to supply cameras with high energy demands. Power supply is via a fixed cable connected to the power supply unit. The device is designed for indoor use and does not require additional protection against moisture or dust, as it is not intended for outdoor use.

Compatibility and Accessories
The AXIS 5503-102 is specifically developed for powering AXIS cameras, particularly models such as the T90C10. It is suitable as a replacement part or addition for existing installations. Compatible accessories include power cables (TU6011) and connectors, which can be used to connect the power supply to the camera or network. Compatibility is limited to the AXIS product family, with exact model specifications available in the manufacturer’s datasheet.

Installation and Mounting
Installation takes place in a protected indoor environment, with the power supply connected to a suitable socket. Mounting does not require special tools, but a secure connection to the power grid and the camera is necessary to ensure stable power supply. The device is designed for indoor use and does not require additional protection against environmental influences.

Operational Advantages
The constant output voltage of 24 V DC ensures reliable power supply to the cameras, improving image quality and operational reliability. The 36 W power output enables the supply of cameras with high energy demands without voltage drop. The device is designed for indoor use and features a compact and robust construction suitable for professional surveillance systems. Availability for various markets (USA, AU, CN, EU, UK, JP) facilitates international use and installation.
