AK-Nord – bringing legacy interfaces onto the networkAK-Nord develops and produces network and interface components for industrial and embedded applications: LAN modules, device servers and communication components. We list device servers for RS-232 devices as plug or socket, also in XXL versions, device servers for USB devices, ComPoint adapters with power supply, XT-MICRO print servers for printers with parallel interface, XT-NANO and XT-PICO embedded LAN modules for integration in own devices with development board, a LAN-ISDN bridge, an LPT to USB cable and power supplies and DIN rail holders. A device server makes serial or USB devices reachable over the network – such as scales, instruments, POS systems or older printers. |

Frequently asked questions
What does a device server do?It converts a serial or USB interface to Ethernet. The software then accesses the device over the network, often via a virtual COM port.
Plug or socket?That depends on the device's connector: if the device has a socket, it needs a device server with plug, and vice versa.
Are AKNord items available from Lieske Elektronik?We carry 65 AKNord items. Availability is shown on every item; for larger quantities we will confirm the delivery date in advance.
I only have the AKNord part number from a specification.That is enough. The manufacturer part number is part of our item titles – enter it in the search or send us the whole list.
