3ware – RAID for older servers3ware developed the Escalade series of RAID controllers; the brand passed via AMCC to LSI, and Broadcom provides the documentation today. We list the 7006-2LP RAID controller for the PCI bus as low-profile kit and a replacement battery for the BBU module, which protects the controller cache during power failure. An exhausted BBU battery disables the write cache and slows the array – replacing it restores performance. |
