3Doodler was founded in 2012 as the world's first company to commercially offer a hand-held 3D printing pen, and has since defined this product segment as market leader. The functional principle is based on FFF extrusion: plastic filament is heated and extruded through the pen tip, where it immediately cools and builds up a three-dimensional structure – without software, without a computer, directly in hand.

No Software, No Computer
Unlike filament 3D printers, the 3Doodler requires no software, no STL file, and no slicer programme. Ideas are sketched directly and intuitively in three dimensions – significantly faster for exploratory prototypes and conceptual models.
Wide Filament Range
PLA, ABS, FLEXY (elastic), WOOD, METAL, and GLOW composites allow rigid, flexible, decorative, or functional results depending on requirements. All filaments are designed as individual strands (sticks) for easy reloading.
Safety-Oriented for Training Environments
The Start+ pen operates at only 80 °C melt temperature with no burn risk at the tip – suitable for supervised training environments in schools and vocational training without additional protective equipment.
