SR3D Safety Relay – Reliable Safety Solution for Combustion Plants and Maritime Applications

The SR3D is a universally applicable safety relay with three secure relay outputs. It is specifically designed for continuous operation in combustion plants according to the EN 50156-1 standard. In addition, it is certified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) under certification number 32915-06HH, making it approved for use at sea. This makes it an ideal choice for safety-critical applications such as waste incineration plants on ships, where it has been successfully used for years.

With its comprehensive safety functions, including emergency stop monitoring, sliding protective door monitoring, light curtain monitoring, and its function as a safe coupling relay, the SR3D provides the highest safety standards for industrial and maritime use. It meets the requirements of numerous international standards, including EN 60204-1, DIN EN ISO 13849-1, EN 62061, EN 50156-1, EN 746-2, IEC 61508, and IEC 61511-1.

Thanks to its compact design with a width of only 22.5 mm, the SR3D can be installed in control cabinets in a space-saving manner. It features three immediate safety contacts, one signal output, and offers a maximum switching capacity of 8 A at 250 VAC (resistive load). The start behavior can be flexibly chosen depending on the application – either automatic start or manual, monitored start.

The SR3D offers a flexible power supply, supporting AC/DC 24 V, AC 115 V, or AC 230 V. For simple integration into existing systems, three connection options are available: fixed screw terminals, plug-in screw terminals, or push-in spring terminals in a TWIN design. With a safety classification of PL e, Category 4, and SILCL 3, the SR3D meets the highest safety requirements needed for use in safety-critical applications.
